Keno office

The keno office is... overall, pretty lame. All that's gonna be in here is announcements. But that doesn't mean you shouldn't pay attention to this lame board-- activity checks will be here as well. So a checkup every week or so should be fine.

The name's pretty self-explanatory. Here's where you make your own character. All you need to do is fill out the character form and wait for the character to be accepted. Once any staff has accepted it, you can start role-playing.

Plotting

I absolutely love to plot. It's probably one of my favorite things to do. Just being able to think of an idea with another member and working together to make it into an interesting plot captivates me. Plotting is core to any site, and here is where I'll probably post our first plot, once we get more members.

Who can resist those bundles of fur? If your female is about to give birth, look into the rules for more explanation on breeding and birth, or if your male's about to become a daddy, fill out the form and you'll have those puppies in no time.

No New Posts Sel River

The Sel River is one of the strangest river's you'll come across. The arctic ocean tainted it, way back when, and ever since then it's been a salt river. The wolves have found it to be both productive and consequential. The bad side of it is that you can't drink it. The river seems to just taunt the wolves, as if it knows they can't drink it. On the good side, a lot of animals cross throw here, and sometimes meals are washed up on the bank.

No New Posts Pollox Mountains

The Pollox mountains are breath-taking. The peaks remain snowy year round, just from the sheer height of the mountains. Venturing into the mountains is dangerous, but sometimes you might get lucky and encounter a group of mountain goats. The meadow and fields are lush, and attract many easy targets. Mothers sometimes carry their pups up into the meadows, which results in one or two puppies plummeting to their deaths a year.

No New Posts Druid Woods

These woods have been fought over in the past. Once it was decided to be a rogue land, it bears all four packs. Humans use to mine here, but when the mine exploded it was abandoned. Soon, the mine disappeared and wildlife took over. Nowadays, fires constantly rack the woods, leaving a constant layer of ash on the planets. The result is even more healthier plants because of the abundant space. And plants always give a good opportunity to bring home dinner.

No New Posts Akip Beach

The Akip beach is right near the Avi spit, the two landforms neighboring each-other. The beach is also affected by the tides, the beach sometimes half under water because of a high tide. The sand is a light color, almost white, and sticks to your paws. It's soft texture is almost never hot, either the air or the water cooling it off. It was once a prized place to fish for humans, due to the nearby spit. Now the only fishers that come to the beach are raccoons and bears.

No New Posts Shix Gorge

This gorge is foggy almost all year long. The air has a certian chill to it, and walking in the water for too long can bring on disease. The gorge provides fresh water, pure water that isn't tainted by the humans chemicals. The gorge was key in the Balta winning the war against the Tako, it provided a high area to look out and the cold water was a small barrier for the Balta. The strategic value is off the charts.

No New Posts Keenum Falls

The Keenum falls is surprisingly eerie. The place was once named the Bloody Falls by the humans, in which the Bloody Falls Massacre took place. The humans abandoned the falls, suspecting it would be haunted by the fallen souls. Wolves have such a higher sense than humans, we can tell that no ghosts haunt the falls. But female wolves will tell their pups that if they don't behave the ghosts of the Keenum Falls will come and get you. Loners passing through will sometimes hear wolves yelping in pain, which leads them to suspect wolves have died at these falls before...

No New Posts Rasha Valley

The Rasha valley is one of the main territories that the Nesha visit. The valley is medium-sized, maybe 30 miles wide and 50 miles long. Caribou, deer, and moose can all be found here, the deer and caribou in large herds. The outsides of the valley slope upwards, at small angle though, and then flatten out eventually. The valley is probably 500 feet below sea level. The Nesha tend to linger in the valley, make their homes in the rolling plains. They might, once in a while, leave the valley, but always return to the vast land.

No New Posts Avi Spit

The Avi spit is a fairly interesting territory. The sand from the Akip beach makes a large sandbar, stretching out nearly two miles! The sandbar makes a wide semi-circle, encasing a good amount of water. When the tide hits, the spit is either out of the water all the way or in the water all the way. The alternating tides leave some sea-creatures stranded in the drained sand. This type of food isn't always the best, but if a free meal comes along, then you gotta take it. Other scavengers take advantage of the spit too, grizzly bears and raccoons are the other top predators here.

No New Posts Kelpie Strait

The Kelpie strait isn't a very large strait, maybe 500 feet from one side to another, but it isn't used as a hunting ground. When the strait freezes, the wolves can have easy access to an island on the other side of the strait. The best hunters will go out and follow a caribou herd, one that makes trips to the island. They have access to the island for a good 4-5 months, which contributes to the great health of the Halu. The island connected by the strait is peaceful, and big enough for a small pack to live on. In the summer, young wolves try to see who's stronger by swimming to the other side.

No New Posts Carso Fjord

The Carso Fjord isn't really all that much. Just a narrow valley, only about 20 yards across at it's widest point. Even after a flood, a weak wolf would be able to cross the small river inside the fjord easily. On dry days the river may dry up, giving raccoons and bears able to get an easy meal with fish and shellfish. On cold days, the river is caught under at least 2 feet of ice. The slippery surface provides a good learning opportunity for young wolves on how to battle on icy terrain.

No New Posts Cyp Forest

The Cyp forest is one of the largest forest's in Keno. The soil underneath is wet and soggy, from not receiving enough sunlight. The dense forest above just won't let through any light, which makes the forest relatively dark. Because of this, the forest is filled up to the very edges with animals. Some animals have even adapted to the darkness; mice no longer have eyes, snakes have no eyes, and even weirder animals are encountered in this place. These are easily classified as mutations, but they really have no need for eyes in this world of unrelenting darkness.

No New Posts Neski Spring

The Neski spring is one of the few places not cold in the water. The water pumped up from the ground is a toasty 80 degrees Fahrenheit. Besides warming up and drinking, the spring isn't much used. It is favored by the old joints, in which the older wolves will gather around and laugh as they tell their stories that happened in their youth. The water is shallow, but deep enough for the wolves to get some exercise, the pool being 6 feet deep and 10 feet across.

No New Posts Deskur Field

The first thing that comes to mind when you look at this field is death. The place reeks of decaying plants and dead animals. The planets are yellow or brown, their structures that were once beautiful now withered and dead. The wind constantly seems to rustle the field, which just adds to the growing list of creepiness. With all this, the Balta really don't have to fight over this piece of land, as none of the other packs see any reason to own this land. The Balta actually seem to quite like it, strangely.

No New Posts Kaz Lakes

The Kaz lake is just breathtaking. It's hard to explain why such a wonderful lake would be in the Balta's land. Like most territory, the land used to be a different packs territory, but the Balta took it. The lake is a large, deep lake, with shrubs lining the edge of it. It is just teeming with wildlife; deer, raccoons, fish, eagles, and much more all visit this lake, either to find a meal or get a drink. Bold puppies may dare each other to swim out to the middle and back. Adolescent wolves swim across the lake, to see who is the strongest.

No New Posts Lah Cliff

The Lah cliff has a breathtaking view. From the top you can see miles of ocean, all the way to the far edge of the horizon. The sunsets and sunrises here are just unbelievable. The forest behind the cliff used to be a campground, and the humans would climb the cliff to look at the view. The waves long ago formed the cliff, the sheer pressure of them pounding the rock away, washing away almost 300 feet of rock. The cliff isn't of much use, but the forest behind it is a valuable hunting ground. You can sometimes get lucky and find a nest of bird eggs, which are easy pickings and could provide a meal for the young pups back home.

No New Posts Ath Cavern

The Ath cavern is a frightening place. For the most part of the year, the cavern is wet and uncomfortable. For a couple weeks the cavern dries up, even becomes a warm place to relax. In those moments, the strange creatures that dwell in this otherworldly place retreat further into the cave, to avoid any contact with sunlight. Occasionally one might encounter an eyeless mouse or a snake with legs. Other mysteries lurk in the depths of this place. Humans used to explore this place, looking for bacteria and new species.

No New Posts Sulfick Plains

The Sulfick plains can be described as one word: immense. The plains stretch on for hundreds of miles, in both width and length. Caribou is the main meal found here, at least 10 different herds make this plain their home. But with the great amount of space, comes the lack of security. Even if they tried, the Halu wouldn't be capable of keeping rogues and other packs from hunting in this large territory. But, quite frankly, the Halu don't care if others hunt here.
